Living in Wappingers Falls
A mill village built around a waterfall, with its downtown on the National Register since 1984.
Wappingers Falls is a village, incorporated in 1871, that sits in both the Town of Poughkeepsie and the Town of Wappinger and takes its name from the falls on Wappinger Creek. An 1884 stone arch bridge joins its two halves, and its walkable Main Street runs past bars, restaurants, shops and a five-acre park along the creek.
