A creek town on Route 44, between Poughkeepsie and Millbrook.
Pleasant Valley sits in the middle of the county, northeast of the City of Poughkeepsie, with US 44 as the hamlet's Main Street and Wappinger Creek running through its center. Much of the land is in dairy and fruit farming, and the Taconic State Parkway meets Route 44 in the north of town.
